The practical application of the magneto-actuated prototype is to serve as a portable, near-patient testing platform that delivers lab-quality immunoassay results within minutes. Using disposable cartridges and a smartphone-connected reader, it can be applied to rapid infectious disease diagnosis (e.g., dengue, sepsis markers), chronic disease biomarker monitoring, and fast triage in emergencies or outbreaks, while also offering a transversal solution across human health, veterinary diagnostics, food safety, and environmental control. This enables detection of relevant biomarkers or contaminants in animals, food products, and water or environmental samples, providing a unified technology platform that supports timely, evidence-based decisions directly at the point of need, including low-resource or rural settings where access to central laboratories is limited.
