The Opportunistic Indoor Location Device (DOLI) is a multi-technology IoT device that enables indoor location using known landmarks. It uses various radio technologies: UWB, WiFi-FTM and WiFi, with the possibility of extending it in the future to new technologies. Like other location devices, the DOLI needs at least 4 reference points for location, but unlike others, it does not need those reference points to be from a single technology, but can use information sources opportunistically. In the future, thanks to AI, it will be possible to reduce the number of reference points used, in a work that is currently in the research phase.
