This innovative system is designed to address the remote geolocation of critical entities by leveraging advanced thermographic cameras, sophisticated computer vision (CV), artificial intelligence, and Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques. It is engineered for seamless integration with a wide range of UAV platforms, including both multicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. A key feature of the system is its ability to deliver real-time remote geolocation data to decision-makers, significantly enhancing the effectiveness, accuracy, and responsiveness of aerial fire management operations.

Applications

The system is intended for operational deployment on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to support the early detection, monitoring, and precise geolocation of wildfires and other critical thermal events. By integrating thermographic sensing, artificial intelligence–based computer vision, and GIS technologies, the system enables real-time identification and georeferencing of fire fronts, hotspots, and potential ignition points.

In practical terms, the product can be used by emergency response agencies, civil protection services, forestry departments, and firefighting units to improve situational awareness during both preventive surveillance and active fire suppression operations. The real-time geolocation data transmitted to command-and-control centers allows decision-makers to rapidly assess fire behaviour, allocate resources more effectively, and reduce response times.

Beyond wildfire management, the system can be adapted for applications such as search and rescue operations, infrastructure monitoring, border surveillance, and environmental monitoring, making it a versatile tool for aerial intelligence and decision support.
