Robot demonstrator for sorting, assembly and intelligent handling.

The innovative aspect lies in the integration of a cartesian robot designed from scratch: mechanical design in CAD, microcontroller programming, implementation of machine vision and cognitive reasoning algorithms, and control via mixed reality glasses.
One of the main lines of work has focused on the implementation of IoT devices with proprietary software, capable of capturing and processing data in real time. These devices, equipped with advanced microcontrollers and smart sensors, allow for the measurement of environmental parameters and the capture of real-time data for subsequent transmission to monitoring platforms. The developed software stands out for its efficiency and reliability, thanks to its ability to transmit data in real time with low latency and minimal resource consumption, opening the door to new applications in industrial buildings and production plants. Its scalability will allow for the incorporation of new technologies in future phases of development and transfer to the business sector.

This is a 3-axis Cartesian robot with a gripper, designed and developed entirely at ITECAM. The system allows for the automatic classification, assembly, and manipulation of parts using machine vision and cognitive reasoning, or manually through an advanced interface displayed on mixed reality glasses. This dual operating mode offers a solution adaptable to industrial and research environments, optimizing processes and facilitating human-machine interaction in handling tasks.
