Safeloc UWB Safety & Localization System

Development and validation of a high-precision real-time localization system based on Ultra-Wideband (UWB) radio technology, enabling sub-meter (≈10–30 cm) positional accuracy in complex industrial indoor environments. The result combines proprietary ranging, multi-anchor trilateration, and advanced signal processing algorithms to achieve robust, low-latency 3D positioning under severe multipath, metallic interference, and electromagnetic noise conditions. The system has been experimentally validated for tracking people, vehicles, and assets, providing reliable spatial data suitable for safety-critical applications, intralogistics optimization, and industrial digitalization.

The product is already providing solutions to customers such as ArcelorMittal, Gestamp, ABB or Ternium in Mexico. It is deployed as an end-to-end industrial Real-Time Location System (RTLS) that combines UWB-based localization hardware with a dedicated software layer for data processing, visualization, and integration. The system enables continuous, high-precision monitoring of people, vehicles, and assets in indoor and semi-indoor environments. On the software side, a centralized positioning engine processes measurements to compute real-time coordinates, while application services implement business logic such as proximity detection, geofencing, collision avoidance, and safety rule enforcement. The software platform provides real-time dashboards, historical traceability, event logging, and analytics, and exposes standardized APIs for integration with industrial control systems, MES/ERP platforms, and digital twin environments, enabling both safety-critical applications and operational optimization use cases.
