Mª Pilar Carrato has a degree in Business Administration from the University College of Financial Studies (CUNEF). She has completed several financial specialization courses at the Instituto de Empresa (Cash Management), the International Monetary Fund (Public Financial Management), Banco de España (Management and Measurement of Operational Risk; Business Assessment; Credit Recovery and Bankruptcy Law) and National Institute of Public Administration (INAP) (Strategic Planning and Public Management). She began her professional career as a financial analyst at Banco de España and developed her career in the private sector in various positions for several financial institutions, including BCH and Fortis Bank as Head of the International Sales-Trading Department of the SVB. Her professional performance includes her teaching activity in centers of recognized prestige such as the IEB, CEF or IEF. She later qualified in public competition examinations to join the Superior Body of Public Comptrollers and Auditors and assigned to the Instituto de Contabilidad y Auditoría de Cuentas - ICAC (Institute of Accounting and Accounts Auditing), initially in the Subdirectorate of Technical Control and later as Secretary General for six years. She continues her career in the public sector as Director of Audit Teams of the Division of Control of Community Funds at ONA (IGAE), joining CDTI in November 2018 as head of the Economic-Financial Management and CEO of INNVIERTE.
