The object of the present invention refers to a rodent model for fibromyalgia and chronic pain, induced by pharmacological and nutritional treatments, as well as the evaluation of the response by cerebral imaging tests. It has been shown that by partially inhibiting the levels of coenzyme q in rodents, the most common symptoms of fibromyalgia are reproduced, such as pain, depression, anxiety, memory and sleep disorders as well as all the biological alterations described in the literature. Disease such as inflammation, oxidative stress, serotonin deficiency. On the other hand, it also demonstrates the overexpression of a pain marker gene, which provides us with a molecular tool for the evaluation and control of pain.

Sustainable Development Goal:
Applications
