BIO-BASED INORGANIC-ORGANIC MATERIALS
Application number P202430817
Flame retardant material comprising phytic acid, at least one metal ion and at least one organic amine. The invention further relates to a method of preparing said flame retardant material, to composite materials comprising said flame retardant material and to the use of the flame retardant material and/or the composite materials comprising said flame retardant material.
This invention employs biomass raw material, which is advantageous for environmental protection and sustainable contribution. The process of preparing this bio-based flame retardant is environmentally friendly, mainly using water and alcohol as flame retardant, which is non-toxic and easy to recycle. Also, the reaction produces no by-products. The present invention combines the principle of multi-level flame retardancy and solves the problem of the general low efficiency of phytic acid. The molecular structure of the present invention is flexible and adjustable in terms of composition and ratio, and thus has adjustability in terms of molecular properties, thus adapting to applications in different fields. The designed flame retardant system based on BHFR flame retardant has a very high efficiency, especially in terms of long-term fire resistance and thermo-oxidative stability.
