Its optical properties of light emission, transmission and reflection can be controlled in a wide range of wavelengths depending on the intended application. In addition, it is possible to manufacture large-sized membranes. Applications for this material: • Optical sensors for mechanical stress and deformation. • Visible camouflage and/or dynamic infrared • Active control of emissivity. • Active control of radiant heat flow. • Active thermoregulation. • Dynamic thermal shielding. • Visible and/or dynamic infrared optical filter. • Intelligent mechanochromic windows • Adaptive optical properties.
