AMICA

AMICA is a web-based software platform that integrates multispectral image processing, photogrammetry and artificial intelligence into a single system. It allows users to transform raw drone or sensor data into georeferenced indices, orthophotos, 3D models and automated analyses, such as crop health assessment or tree counting, without relying on multiple external tools. Designed mainly for precision agriculture and environmental monitoring, AMICA simplifies complex workflows and delivers actionable, spatially accurate information for decision-making in real-world scenarios

The AMICA product has a clear practical application as an operational platform that enables the full use of multispectral imagery, photogrammetry and artificial intelligence in real-world environments, especially in precision agriculture. In practice, AMICA allows raw data captured by drones or multispectral sensors to be transformed into actionable information within a single web-based system, eliminating the need to combine multiple independent tools. Through automated radiometric calibration, the calculation of more than seventy spectral indices, and the generation of georeferenced orthophotos and 3D models, users can directly analyse crop condition, detect stress, monitor growth and estimate production with a high level of spatial accuracy
From an operational point of view, AMICA is designed to be used by farmers, agronomists, cooperatives and agricultural service companies to support daily decision-making. The platform makes it possible to identify areas affected by water stress, nutrient deficiencies, diseases or pests at an early stage, enabling localized interventions that reduce costs and improve yields. The integration of artificial intelligence models, such as automatic tree or plant detection and counting, further reduces manual work and provides objective metrics that were previously costly and time-consuming to obtain. Because all results are georeferenced and exportable, they can be directly used for field actions, reporting or integration with other farm management systems
Beyond agriculture, AMICA has practical applications in forestry, environmental monitoring and land management, where the same combination of multispectral indices, 3D reconstruction and automated analysis can be used for forest inventories, monitoring ecosystem health, assessing post-fire regeneration or detecting environmental risks. Its photogrammetric capabilities also make it suitable for infrastructure inspection and terrain analysis, such as monitoring slopes, earthworks or erosion processes. In research and academic contexts, AMICA serves as a practical experimentation platform, allowing researchers to define and validate new spectral indices and analysis workflows without advanced programming skills, while maintaining full traceability of data and results
Overall, the practical application of AMICA lies in its role as an integrated, accessible and scalable tool that turns complex multispectral and geospatial data into usable knowledge. By unifying data acquisition, processing, analysis and visualization in a single system based on open technologies, AMICA enables both operational deployment and commercial exploitation through services, platforms or technology licensing, bridging the gap between advanced remote sensing techniques and their effective use in real production and management scenarios.
