Biopen4Reg is a patented handheld in situ bioprinting platform designed to enable rapid, precise, and personalized delivery of bioinks directly onto injured tissues. The multimodular device supports both spray and extrusion modes through interchangeable dual-material heads, allowing the application of a wide range of bioinks, with or without cells, tailored to different clinical scenarios. Integrated features such as dual syringes, real-time 4K visualization, and in situ photocuring via UV light enhance deposition accuracy, material retention, and treatment stability. Biopen4Reg has demonstrated in vitro performance comparable to conventional bioprinters, while enabling in vivo application in wound healing models with regenerative outcomes similar to autografting.

The platform is protected by a PCT patent covering the device, together with a separate PCT for a proprietary fibrinogen-based bioink enriched with glycosaminoglycans and collagen.
