The prototype is an embedded system that captures video and subsequently compresses and encodes it into a compact representation (commonly called latent) for later transmission. Essentially, we send a highly compressed version of the image (currently reducing from 8 MB to ~2 KB), which also bears no resemblance to the original image. This way, we optimize the bandwidth needed to transmit information and add an extra layer of security. Only we can decode this compressed representation to restore the original image.
